Common Questions

Do I need prior robotics experience? ▼
No. What matters most is curiosity and the drive to learn. We have members at all skill levels — everyone starts somewhere.
What grades are eligible? ▼
5th through 12th grade. We believe STEM education should start early and continue all through high school.
How long does the application process take? ▼
We respond to all applications within 5–7 business days. If selected for a chat, we'll schedule it within two weeks of your application.
What competitions will I compete in? ▼
As an official FIRST® team, we compete in FTC (Team #36656) and FLL (Team #75503) events — from local qualifiers up to State and World Championships. Additional regional competitions may be added each season.
Is there a cost to join? ▼
Competitive robotics involves real costs — equipment, registration fees, and travel. We're committed to being transparent about this and are actively building a community of families who share the journey. Apply first and we'll have an honest conversation.
