JupiterStemLabs is open to students currently enrolled in 5th through 12th grade. We welcome both beginners and students with existing robotics experience.

Common Questions

Do I need prior robotics experience to apply? ▼
No! We welcome beginners. What matters most is your curiosity and willingness to learn. We have students at all skill levels, and everyone starts somewhere.
What grades are eligible? ▼
JupiterStemLabs is open to students currently in 5th through 12th grade. We believe STEM education should start early and continue all the way through high school.
How long does the application process take? ▼
We aim to respond to all applications within 5–7 business days. If you're selected for an interview, we'll schedule that within two weeks of your initial application.
What competitions will I be eligible to compete in? ▼
All enrolled members are eligible to compete in our four annual competitions: LCRC, FIRST LEGO League, Indiana State Robotics, and Illinois Robotics Olympiads. Competition teams are formed based on skill level and preparation.
Is there a cost to join? ▼
